Student teachers at ETTC not only share time in class room studying and preparing for their professions as teachers. The ETTC campus provides accommodation for around 120 students. Here students study together, live together, share their free-time together and manage their everyday life responsibly together – also sharing duties of communal living, such as cleaning, cooking, leading assemblies and taking care of the campus.

At least once a week students at Emmanuel Teacher Training College meet for extra-curricular sports activities. The campus provides them with enough space to play football or engage in other sporting activities after class sessions. On Saturdays student teachers go to nearby sporting facilities where they can use the given facilities to play football, volleyball and netball. If schedule allows, students are taken to Salima once a year for sporting activities at the lake.

Our library and our computer lab give student teachers enough space and possibility to spend time doing research, reading or studying. Here student teachers can apply their research skills, manage their studies in their own pace, revise class lectures or read the newspaper.

Once a week, students are equipped with basic skills in computer use, use of office software and internet research.
